Peter Jobst
Global Managing Director
 
 

Peter Jobst is the Global Managing Director of BenchMark Consulting International with operations in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. He has experience in management and consulting in Consumer Lending, Investment Products, Vehicle Finance and Lease, and Branch Operations. Also, he has operational experience in Commercial Loans and Small Business Lending. His core topics in consulting are strategy, operational management, business process re-engineering and benchmarking.

In his eleven years with BenchMark Consulting International, Jobst has managed several major projects for key industry players around the globe. A strong focus of his work has been in the Vehicle Finance & Lease segment where we conducted projects for all of the large global captive groups in the passenger car and commercial vehicle industry. He gained consulting experience in over 25 countries worldwide including Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Saudi-Arabia, Spain, UK and the US. Prior to joining BenchMark Consulting International, Jobst held several positions of increasing responsibility in retail banking with Citibank throughout Germany. Additional experience includes branch operations and commercial loans in the regional savings & loan sector.

Jobst holds a Diplom-Kaufmann (Business Administration) from Katholische Universitaet Eichstaett, Germany and attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina, US.

 
 
 
Richard Apicella
Managing Director Americas
 
 

Richard Apicella is the Managing Director Americas for BenchMark Consulting International. As Managing Director, Rich is responsible for helping financial services executives improve the performance of their operations by bringing to bear the insights, expertise, experience and knowledge base of BenchMark.

Rich has more than 25 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining BenchMark, he was Vice President of Business Development for Capital One Auto Finance, where he developed auto finance partnership programs with a number of Fortune 500 companies. Before that, he was Vice President of Business Development for Hewlett-Packard, where he was responsible for leading HP’s manufacturing industry business process outsourcing business. Rich spent thirteen years with Deloitte Consulting, and as a partner in their automotive practice he worked with many automotive captive finance companies, OEMs and megadealer groups around the world. He also spent eight years with IBM Corporation, where he was responsible for delivering IT capabilities to the Financial Services Industry.

Rich is a graduate of Rutgers University where he obtained a B.S. in Computer Science, and earned his M.S. in Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology.

 
 
 
George Halloran
Auto Finance Program Director
 
 

George Halloran is the Auto Finance Program Director at BenchMark Consulting International, providing strategic and operational consulting to auto and other finance sources and related companies. He has over 30 years of hands-on operational and executive management experience across the entire auto financing spectrum including field operations, strategy and planning, finance, marketing, risk management and IT. He has extensive international experience and in-depth knowledge of origination, servicing and funding processes. Mr. Halloran held a number of executive positions at Ford Credit including Vice President of Global Strategic Planning and Executive Director of Marketing and Operations at Ford Credit Europe. Halloran is a former Executive Board Member and active member of AFSA and has served on the Financial Services Roundtable, the Corporate Strategy Board and the UK Association of Directors. He continues to work very closely with all the major auto financing sources, both prime and non-prime. He holds a BS Degree in Physics from the Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Management from the University of Southern California.

 
 
 
Albrecht Wangerin
Director BenchMarking
 
 

Albrecht Wangerin is in overall charge of the development, execution and successful delivery of our benchmarking studies and surveys. He is one of the industry's most knowledgeable experts of operational best practices in vehicle finance and lease, fleet management, and equipment leasing (direct and vendor business) and has been the leader of many successful health check assessments around the globe.

Previous roles included various managerial functions within the Sixt Group (Car Rental, Leasing, Travel), as Head of Credit and Service of Security Pacific Eurofinance, a subsidiary of Credit Lyonnais, in the central credit department for Deutsche Apotheker- und Aerztebank, and in the national and international financial controlling function in the holding company of Mannesmann AG.

Wangerin holds a university degree in Management Science from the University of Cologne, Germany.

 
 
 
Andreas Roterberg
Director European Operations
 
 

Andreas Roterberg is based in Vienna, Austria. He has senior management experience in a wide array of financial services segments including Vehicle and other Asset Finance, Wealth Management, Corporate and Small Business Lending. His career included 3 years for Deutsche Bank as corporate customer advisor in the start-up and mid-size segment (Germany), in total six years as managing director of a large family trust with a focus on asset management and restructuring (Germany and Austria), three years for his own consultancy firm as trouble shooter and 8 years for Daimler Financial Services in different managerial functions around the globe, e.g. lead in restructuring project in Brazil, CFO in the Netherlands and Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Andreas is a well-known expert with a successful project track record in the fields of portfolio optimization, cost analysis, troubleshooting, re-structuring, re-financing, business integration, shared services, business process optimizations, company merger and acquisitions, and credit risk and asset-liability management.

 
 
 
Abdulhameed Rajab Abdulaziz
Middle East Representative
 
 

Abdulhameed Rajab, a Bahraini National, leads the development of the business of BenchMark Consulting International in the Region Middle East. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial services throughout the Middle East with strong personal networks as well as expertise in Sharia compliance. Fields of work include business development, finance, marketing, customer service, credit and collections.

His career included successful long-term employments in various managerial functions with well-known international players such as American Express and ACI Worldwide.

 
 
 
Guy Doole
Managing Director UK
 
 

Guy Doole is the Managing Director of BenchMark Consulting International UK. In this function he is in charge of acquisition, concept, and content of consulting projects in the financial services industry in general and specifically for motor finance & lease in the United Kingdom.

Since joining BenchMark in 2007, Doole has facilitated projects with EU companies that have provided global captive solutions, enhanced market intelligence capabilities, offered unique risk and asset management strategies, and created peer-based UK captive motor finance analysis of front-to-end processes.

Previous roles include European business development for GE Capital, country and general management for the global financing captives of Pitney Bowes and DuPont, and international managerial assignments overseas with HSBC.

Doole studied for a BSc (Hons) degree at the Bradford University School of Management.

 
 
 
Thomas Geier
Director Asia
 
 

Thomas Geier serves as Director Asia for BenchMark Consulting International, responsible for building up BenchMark Consulting International's offerings for Asia.

Thomas Geier has worked for BenchMark Consulting International since 2001 and was appointed Director Asia in 2009. Prior to assuming the responsibility for Asia, Mr. Geier has served as Project Manager and Senior Consultant and successfully managed and co-managed various benchmarking and consulting projects in 10+ countries for 40+ major companies. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of global operational best practices in auto finance & lease and equipment leasing as well as extensive experience in financial services' process analysis & documentation, process optimization, operational & organizational structure, and IT functionalities. Prior to joining BenchMark Consulting, Mr. Geier has worked for Deutsche Bank in Germany as Project Manager and in Operations.

Mr. Geier holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree (MBA equivalent) from Munich's School of Management, Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, Germany.
