Account Number Conversion
Client Need: A $40 billion bank sought a cost-effective interim solution to accommodate an expanded account number field length during its conversion to a new deposit system with little or no customer impact.
Solution: BenchMark conducted a series of test scenarios with client systems developers to provide an interim solution for the expanded account number length at a low cost. Results were analyzed to determine whether duplicate account numbers were developed. Impact of the interim procedure on the back office was documented.
Results: BenchMark presented a low cost solution with minimal potential impact to the client’s customers and back office.
