System Development Assistance

Client Need: The business banking group of a super-regional bank wanted assistance with the functional design specifications for two system development projects. The client was keenly interested in the design of best-in-class functional processes by BenchMark from which system functional design documents would be developed.

Solution: BenchMark Consulting conducted management interviews to determine current and target operating environmental issues and objectives. Current and proposed process workflows were developed along with functional design specifications for target systems that would be integrated as part of the processes and policies (with embedded improvements). A high-level implementation plan including timeline was created for the system development project.

Results: The client accelerated system development execution based on target processes, policies and implementation planning provided by BenchMark. These deliverables also enabled the client to better position itself in its negotiations with systems vendors.
