Small Business Integration Business Case

Client Need: A top 10 bank needed to make its smaller credit acquisition process more effective, efficient and scaleable. The new design, supported by a business case, would explore alternative processing channels, satisfy credit risk management and be approved by executive management.

Solution: BenchMark led a client team in the development of a new ‘end state’ model that identified the retail operation as a more efficient, effective and scaleable alternative for channeling the credit acquisition of smaller credits. BenchMark provided step-by-step guidance in the development of a business case that defined which specific product origination and servicing processes and procedures, technologies, underwriting criteria and credit authorities, and portfolio management would be transitioned to the retail operation.

Results: The process and business case was approved by executive management and the bank is currently implementing the recommended changes.
