Europe wide rollout of Key Process Measurement Indicators

Client Need: A major European Auto Manufacturer had designed a system based measurement and communication tool. The company required that this tool was used by each of its European locations consistently, timely and accurately.

Solution: BenchMark Consulting visited a majority of the company’s European Offices and ensured that they were positioned in order to identify the appropriate data required to publish the performance measurements and update the results locally to the new system based tool. The relevant processes were identified and documented. Optimum data identification and collection methods were identified and plans were established in order to collect the data both on an immediate (usually labour intensive) and a medium to longer-term (system aided) basis. Major emphasis was placed on the substitution of labour intensive data gathering processes with data provided by the local host systems wherever possible.

BenchMark Consulting also reviewed and documented various processes thereby identifying several process improvements to allow each location to improve performance and facilitate process control and performance measurement.

In addition we created for the client a simple and effective Third Party Evaluation Tool to assist in monitoring the performance of companies providing external assistance. This tool was highly appreciated by the count ry organizations.

Results: Each of the company’s European offices visited by BenchMark Consulting is now positioned to collect and report process performance data required by the Company’s Head Office accurately and timely.

Each site now has fully documented processes and individual plans in place in order to optimise the data gathering and reporting processes.

In addition to satisfying Head Office reporting requirements BenchMark Consulting assisted each location to identify and create specific local process performance measurements.

Hence this new tool now provides both Global (Company Wide) and Local (Country Specific) support and assistance.
